Heidi and Jethro at Built With Skills gave us the opportunity to build a new site, in record time and at a fraction of a 'traditional' budget.

I had two years of "I should really build a website" and no site to show for it. Following the course start to finish, I had a real page live on my own domain by the end of the first week.

It's rare to find people who actually still do the thing they're teaching. You can tell within a week which courses are current.

We're doing what we teach, right now, and everything we've learned we're sharing right here.

Which of these is you?
Starting from zero
You haven't built anything. No site, no audience, and no clear idea which of the hundred things you've read to do first.
What changes
- A real page, live on the internet, in your first week
- A domain you own, on hosting you control
- The shortlist of decisions that matter
- The exact tools you need and nothing else
- An order to work in, so you stop starting over
A site nobody finds
Your site is live, but Google is pretending that it doesn't exist.
What changes
- The tools to diagnose your site's health, and how to actually use them
- Technical issues found and fixed, not just flagged
- On-page optimisation done properly, not guessed at
- SEO that works for you, not a checklist
- All of it running at scale, with AI doing the grind
Traffic that does not earn
Every visitor comes from Google, and Google can switch that off whenever it likes. You've never sent a single stranger to your site from Facebook or Instagram.
What changes
- How to post so people actually click through, not just like and scroll on
- Why Instagram and Facebook are one job now, not two
- Building a real following without spending on ads
- Turning that following into visits, not just followers
- A second channel, so Google isn't the only thing keeping the lights on
Whatever you're already using
- Astro
- WordPress
- Squarespace
- Shopify
- Wix
- Webflow
- Vercel
- Cloudflare
- Google Search Console
- Google Analytics
- YouTube
- ChatGPT

What's in our free community
Get Started
The track that takes you from nothing to a live page. Do this first and ignore everything else until it's done.
General Discussion
Ask anything. We're in here, and so is everyone a few weeks ahead of you.
Challenge Board
Short, specific challenges with a deadline. The difference between watching lessons and having something live.
The Launch Framework
The free course, start to finish: the decisions, the setup, the bits that trip everyone up.
Resources
Templates, swipe files and the tools we actually use, so you're not rebuilding from scratch.

The questions we actually get
I've never built a website. Is this actually for me?
Yes, that’s the person we built it for. The free community starts at “you have nothing”, not “you have a site that needs improving”. You don’t need to know what a domain is, you don’t need design skills, and you definitely don’t need to have written code before.
What you do need is a couple of hours a week and a willingness to publish something imperfect. Start with the free course, then use the challenge board to actually ship what you learned instead of leaving it half-finished.
Is it actually free, or is there a paid thing later?
Joining costs €1 a month. That’s not a price for anything we teach, it’s there to keep out the bots and scammers that swarm any community with an open sign-up form. Once you’re in, The Launch Framework, the challenge board and every discussion inside it are free.
Paid courses, resources and 1:1 sessions are coming. When they land we’ll say so plainly rather than turning what’s free today into a trailer with the good bits removed. Nothing that’s free right now moves behind a price later.
I've got a full-time job. Can I fit this in?
The realistic version is a few evenings a week and a chunk of one weekend day. The work is genuinely stackable. An hour spent writing a page today is a page that keeps working while you’re at your actual job. That’s the whole point of building assets rather than taking on clients.
Who are you two, and why should I listen?
Jethro and Heidi. We build and run a set of our own websites, plus the Facebook and Instagram accounts that feed them and earn alongside them. There’s nobody else. We do the building ourselves, which is exactly why we can teach it.

One thing left
The version of this that works is the one you start.
Just €1 to join, and the first thing you do is get a page live. If it turns out not to be for you, cancel any time, you've lost a euro and an afternoon.
